About The Clarity Foundry

I built The Clarity Foundry for people who want pension clarity before they are sold a solution.

After years inside financial advice, I saw how often people were expected to make serious retirement decisions before they fully understood their own paperwork.

My background

I know what pension complexity looks like from the inside.

I spent over a decade working as a financial adviser, helping people understand pensions, investments and retirement planning. During that time, I saw the same problem again and again.

Most people are not short of paperwork. They are short of clarity.

Pension statements are full of projections, charges, fund names, retirement dates and technical wording. On paper, the information is there. In reality, it often leaves people more confused than when they started.

Why that matters

  • I have seen what gets missed in a five-minute provider call. Old pensions can carry guarantees, protected features or exit terms that deserve to be understood before anything is moved.
  • I know how adviser charges can stack: initial fees, ongoing fees, platform fees and fund charges can each look small in isolation but add up over time.
  • I know why jargon makes people hesitate to ask basic questions. “Is this a silly question?” is something clients used to say to me often. It almost never was.
  • I know what clients usually wish they had asked sooner: what does this cost, what happens if I die first, and what am I giving up if I change it?
Former adviser insight

Clarity before advice.

Because I have worked inside the advice industry, I understand why many people feel nervous about asking for help. They worry they will be sold something before they even understand what they already have.

The Clarity Review was created to sit in that gap. It helps you understand your existing pension information in plain English, so you can feel better prepared before making bigger retirement decisions.

Clear boundaries

What this is not.

The Clarity Review is not regulated financial advice. It does not tell you to transfer, switch, consolidate, invest, buy or sell. It does not include a personal recommendation.

It is designed to help you understand the information you already have, the questions you may need to ask, and what may need more investigation before decisions are made.

“The point is not to turn you into a pension technician. It is to give you enough clarity to ask better questions before bigger decisions are made.”

The aim

Stop guessing. Start understanding.

The goal is simple: give you a clearer view of your pension position, in plain English, before you make decisions that could affect your retirement.
